Toyota C-HR 2018 Review And Specs
In the past, the presence of the Toyota C-HR was quite exciting in cyberspace, because the Toyota Compact SUV was very much awaited by the enthusiasts, because this SUV looks very pretty and out of the Toyota design mainstream which many stereotypes design that might be quite boring.
Definition of C-HR Name
There are two stands for the abbreviation C-HR, the first is "Compact High Rider" which means more is the Compact Crossover with a distinctive driving character that distinguishes it from other crossover.
"Toyota C-HR is a compact car that can be seen from a simple but characteristic car design," explained Maduma Bansar, CBU and Commercial Product General Manager of PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) at the launch of C-HR. "We want to present a different driving posture and become a distinctive feature of the Toyota C-HR compared to other crossover cars," he added.
On the Toyota-Global website, another extension of C-HR is written as "Cross Hatch Runabout" which explains that this car is actually a hatchback with a crossover display.
Some foreign media call it the Jacket-up hatchback, meaning the hatchback is dressed in the style of an SUV and coupe. The tag line carried by Toyota C-HR is "Power Your Perception". Whereas in Indonesia the tagline is "The car that against strereotype".
Design of TOYOTA C-HR 2018
Exterior
The Toyota C-HR looks very aerodynamic and beautiful. The outer appearance of the C-HR is pleasing to the eye from all sides, right, left, front and back look wow. This car looks muscular muscular, modern and more sporty than just a crossover. The impression of Sportcar comes from the coupe gene thanks to the rear door handle camouflaged near the C-pillar, so as if there is no second row door. Good, right?
For the design of his face it looks fierce intimidating, but it looks elegant thanks to the lack of complicated lines like in today's Honda and Mitsubishi cars. The dual-tone alloy design is also very dashing, unfortunately the one introduced at the launch only had single tone wheels with a less attractive design.
The back is not inferior to the C-HR Toyota this is also not attractive, the design of the taillights and the trunk door arches are sporty as if the jet plane's tail can emit great power. The thing that might be preferred is the appearance of the side and muscle on the fender on the wheel, looks like a sportcar.
Interior
Overall, the cabin design and interior quality of the Toyota C-HR level is better than the equivalent Toyota series. Toyota provides the luxury of aura in this compact SUV with diamond shapes on various interior sides, namely the rectangular diamond shape that is spread across the carport, dashboard, head unit, center cluster, steering wheel, seat and so on. This shows that Toyota wants to give its own prestige to the owner of this car.
Toyota C-HR dashboard design adheres to an asymmetrical and driver-oriented format. This is in accordance with the designation of consumers of this car, which is for those who like to drive themselves. This can be seen from the center cluster which is more directed towards the driver, the longer arm rest on the center console in the driver area.
The shape of the chair gives the impression of being more luxurious, thick and soft, before this was unusual in Toyota cars at a price of 500 million, but in European or Korean cars such as Hyundai and KIA. The interior plastic material is also plastic with a soft touch surface. The rest of the cabin is said to be not abundant, because once again this car is more focused on the front cabin, so the rear cabin will be more suitable for two people.
